lowercase is a switch on any style, not a style of its own. it works the same when you speak Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, or Urdu. it can write Hinglish or Hindi instead of English, too.

speaking Hindi or another Indian language uses cloud speech, which comes with voboard pro, monthly or yearly in the app. pro also adds screenshot replies, your own styles, and 500 rewrites a day. English speech is on the free plan.
after you allow OpenAI sharing in the app, cloud speech sends your audio to OpenAI, and the transcript goes through our service to OpenAI for the rewrite. we do not keep the audio or log that request. saved drafts sync with your account, and OpenAI may retain data under its policy. more on the privacy page.
